I was invited to chess.com by a friend, and am playing a game against him now. However, when you sign up you have to play against a “greeter” person who can answer your questions.
I had no questions, but the game turned out well (for me) in that I won.
So, I figured I’d put the game in here for funsies. Assuming annotations work I’ll add some with my thoughts during the game.

1.e4 e5
2.Nf3 d6
3.d4 exd4 {I didn’t expect this, but there’s nothing all that surprising. I could have completed the trade but...}
4.c3 {...I decided not to. Why? Mostly because I have had it DRILLED into my brain to develop early whenever possible.} c5
5.cxd4 {Develop early? Well something had to be done about the threats} b6
6.dxc5 {This is overkill and a dumb move. But I got kinda greedy seeing all those pawns strewn about the board} bxc5
7.Bb5+ {He opened up that side for me, so I figured I’d take advantage of it} Bd7
8.Nc3 Nf6 {I didn’t understand this move. Nf6? It seemed out of nowhere. I totally failed to see that my knight at c3 was too busy defending b5 to defend that pawn. Not to mention...}
9.Bg5 Qa5 {...getting pinned by his queen!}
10.Qb3 {I agonized over this move. It put my Queen on the side of the board and left my King all alone, but it defended my bishop and developed a piece. Plus, I was getting a bit scared with all his attacks} Nxe4 {I knew he was going to do this and it didn’t really scare me, because I was realizing the strength of my position. I just needed to set it up a little bit by first...}
11.O-O {Freeing up e1} Nxc3
12.Bxd7+ {and secondly putting him into check. Considering he was going for my Knight I’m hoping this surprised him.} Nxd7
13.Rae1+ {This is the clincher move. I put him in check and he can’t run due to my bishop at g5. He MUST block.} Be7 {I’m pretty sure that, at this point, he’s given up. There’s a much better move of Ne5 which I was expecting him to make}
14.Rxe7+ Kf8 {Now I know he’s giving up. A better, but still losing, move is Kd8. Why?}
15.Qxf7# {Because I’ve mated him} 1-0
Well it’s obviously got some issues. Working on getting images…
@Wesley
There we go. Enjoy!
